Previously this site was owned by the State Office for Standardization and Metrology of the Republic of Croatia and they performed the activities in the field of standardization, accreditation and metrology through various public institutions mandated to carry out the activities. I don’t know which website they are currently using, but I believe that they are still in operation to comply according to the obligations of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) between the Republic of Croatia, the European Communities and its Member States (SAA) regarding technical harmonization (Article 73) of the new laws were adopted in 2003 by the member states. Here is a pdf where you can learn about Croatia National Strategy.
Below is some information about the State Office for Standardization and Metrology (DZNM) that I recovered from the wayback machine and it details its inception as well as their activities.
|The establishment of the State Office for Standardization and Metrology (DZNM) as a government body is based upon the Amended Law on the System of Government Administration (Official Gazette No. 73/91 of December 31, 1991). The Law on the System of Government Administration (Official Gazette no. 75/93) and the Law on the Organization of Ministries and State Administration Bodies (Official Gazette no. 72/94 and no. 92/96) provide the legal basis for the activities of the State Office for Standardization and Metrology (DZNM). They define the scope and activities within its competence, which primarily include the regulation in the field of standardization, metrology, testing, certification, accreditation as well as the control of precious metal articles.
The Director General, who is appointed by the Croatian Government, administers the affairs of the State Office of Standardization and Metrology (DZNM).

I decided to bring this website back to life so that people can access some of the works of the institutions and took the liberty of grabbing some of the published content as it was back when the site was alive. The content may not be up-to—date, but most of it is still helpful. You can access the content by clicking through the various posts below. I will be seeking to add more content and maybe publish something concerning with global warming and climate changes which are monstrous issues that we are facing in this 21 century.
